Walk MS. PC: Fox 11 Online
(WTAQ-WLUK) — March is MS Awareness Month. It’s a time dedicated to educating people about the neurological disease.
Multiple Sclerosis (MS) affects the central nervous system. It affects the flow of information between the brain and body.
MS can include multiple symptoms. According to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, the most common include fatigue, walking difficulties, weakness, numbness or tingling, MS hug (dysesthesia), spasticity, vision problems, vertigo or dizziness, bladder problems, sexual problems, pain and itching, bowel problems, cognitive changes, emotional changes and depression.
Tuesday, March 5, the mayors of Appleton and De Pere will announce a friendly challenge ahead of each community’s respective MS walk to raise money for research.
