DOOR COUNTY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — The Southern Door County School District has selected its next superintendent.
Kevin Krutzik will begin his new role on July 1, 2024, replacing Tony Klaubauf who currently serves as the district’s interim superintendent.
School board members say Krutzik has 19-year career in education.
He has a Doctor of Education (EdD) in Educational Leadership from Edgewood College, a Master of Arts (MA) in Administrative Leadership from Silver Lake College, a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Leadership Studies from Marquette University, and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Marketing/Business Administration from Lakeland University.
“We are fortunate to hire Dr. Kevin Krutzik, an experienced leader with innovative ideas and proven strengths that will heighten the educational experience of our students, staff, and stakeholders. The Southern Door Community is fortunate to begin this journey with Dr. Krutzik, who has the skillset and attitude to take on challenges that our school community is facing while embracing the incredible opportunities that already exist,” said Board President Penny Price.
Dr. Krutzik’s previous roles include serving as Principal at Sheboygan Falls High School, Assistant Principal at Fond du Lac School High School, Middle/High School Principal at Oshkosh Lourdes Academy, and Business & Information Technology Teacher and Interim Principal at Manitowoc Lincoln High School. His diverse background and unwavering dedication to educational excellence make him an ideal fit to lead the Southern Door County School District into a future of growth and success.
Dr. Krutzik expressed his enthusiasm about joining the Southern Door community, stating, “I am honored and humbled to be able to serve as the next Superintendent of the Southern Door County School District. I am excited to collaborate with the students, staff, Board of Education, families, and the community to continue the district’s ability to provide excellent educational opportunities for all students.
