GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Child pornography charges were officially filed Tuesday against a former Outagamie County employee, online court records show.
Adam Westbrook, who previously served as the county’s human resources director, faces four counts of possession of child pornography and sexual exploitation of a child.
Westbrook was taken into custody Friday after multiple agencies, including the the Wisconsin Department of Justice, executed a search warrant as part of a Kenosha County investigation on Internet Crimes Against Children. He was jailed in Sauk County.
According to his LinkedIn account, Westbrook started working for Outagamie County in September 2023. Executive Tom Nelson says Westbrook resigned the day after his arrest.
He worked in a similar capacity for the city of Sheboygan and CESA-6 in 2022 and 2023, staying in each position for less than a year. Before working in human resources, Westbrook was the city attorney in Neenah.
Westbrook also held several paid volunteer positions helping put on musicals in the Menasha and Kaukauna school districts. Officials said Monday those working relationships have been terminated.
Westbrook is due in court Wednesday, according to online court records.
