(UW ATHLETICS/247NEWSSOURCE) IOWA CITY, IA – Wisconsin travels to Iowa to clash with the Hawkeyes Saturday.
The 21st-ranked Badgers snapped their four-game losing streak with a 62-54 home win over Ohio State on Tuesday.
UW sits at 17-and-8 on the season including 9-and-5 in Big Ten play.
Saturday’s game between Wisconsin and Iowa will mark the 175th all-time meeting between the two programs in a rivalry that began in 1909.
The Badgers lead the all-time series, 89-85, having won the past four games against Iowa. UW is looking for a season sweep of the Hawkeyes for the second straight season.
The Hawkeyes are 14-11 overall this season, including a 6-8 mark in Big Ten play. Iowa is coming off a 78-66 loss against Maryland on Wednesday. Iowa has been one of the best offensive team in the Big Ten this season, averaging 83.5 points per game. The Hawkeyes surrender 78.0 points per game to opponents, however, which ranks among the league’s worst.
Senior Tony Perkins leads the way for Iowa, averaging 15.4 points, 4.3 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game.
