OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ) — The Oshkosh Public Museum is celebrating its centennial in 2024.
The community is invited to join the celebrations through “OPM 100,” a year-long series of exhibitions, events, and programs marking 100 years of preserving and promoting Oshkosh’s rich history.
“We could not be more excited to mark this incredible milestone alongside the Oshkosh community,” says Museum Director Sarah Phillips. “The Museum itself is part of Oshkosh history, and the stories we preserve and share continue to strengthen Oshkosh for future generations.”
OPM 100 is a tribute to the countless stories, artifacts, and moments that have shaped Oshkosh’s past and continue to inspire the future.
Special Exhibits:
- 1920s Oshkosh: Colorful Times in Black and White – See Oshkosh, 100 years younger! Opening February 6.
- Sawyer Saga – A Trilogy of Exhibitions Chronicles a Family’s Enduring Legacy. Part One opening March 15; Part Two opening June 15; Part Three opening September 21.

- American Girls: 1920s History with Claudie – Join the party to win an American Girl® Claudie and accessories! Tickets required. Saturday, February 24, 2024.

- Oshkosh Creates + OFAA Plein Air Festival – Join the museum for free plein air art for all ages on the grounds of OPM during the Oshkosh Fine Arts Association Plein Air Festival.
Special Events:
- Historic Osh Hop – Get access to historic properties around Oshkosh. Locations include The Doe House, The Corbett House, and more to be announced. Saturday, May 11, 2024.
- Día de los Muertos – An uplifting celebration of lost loved ones through traditional elements, vibrant colors, and the arts. Join the museum for our third-annual free celebration of Day of the Dead. Saturday, November 2, 2024.
