ASHWAUBENON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – The owner of the EPIC Event Center and Green Bay Rockers has purchased an empty corner lot between the two venues.
Cormier Property Partners, which is operated by Skogen Festival Foods CEO Mark Skogen, bought the vacant lot just south of the stadium, 750 Cormier Road, for $3 million, according to state property records.
Skogen told FOX 11 no official plans are in the works for the site quite yet, but he has a few ideas.
We don’t know for sure what we’re going to do there. Just making it clear, it’s not a Festival Foods purchase, it’s my own personal purchase… Want to try and free up some parking, as well as develop the property. Maybe some housing, maybe some retail, but it’s too early to know exactly what we’ll do once we get all that together. It’ll go to Ashwaubenon for their approval.
Skogen has owned the Rockers since 2020, and leases Capitol Credit Union Park from Ashwaubenon. The stadium hosts baseball, soccer and concerts.
Skogen opened the EPIC Event Center in 2021, which is primarily a concert venue. That’s located just south of the stadium, at 2351 Holmgren Way.
The empty corner lot had been the home of Green Bay Packaging and, later, Pioneer Metal Finishing. The building there was razed, leaving just the empty lot immediately south of the stadium.
The Village of Ashwaubenon tells FOX 11 no development plans have been submitted at this time.
