CHIPPEWA FALLS, WI (WTAQ-WRN) — The attorney representing a teen accused in the death of a Chippewa Falls girl wants his client tried as a juvenile.
Defense attorney Michael Cohn has filed a 13-page motion in Chippewa County Court asking the Wisconsin Court of Appeals to review the ruling that will keep the case of the teenager accused of killing Lily Peters in adult court.
The teenager, known in court documents as C-P-B, will turn 16 in March.
He’s been charged with first degree intentional homicide and two counts of sexual assault for the April 2022 death of the 10-year-old.
He’s been held in the Northwest Regional Juvenile Detention Center on a million-dollar cash bond since his arrest
