GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) — The Green Bay Area Public School District has retained the Wisconsin Association of School Boards to lead the District through a strategic planning process.
The District is seeking the community’s involvement in the process to help align their priorities with the values of the community.
The last time the District went through a strategic planning process was around the 2013/2014 school year.
Staff, families, and community members are asked to complete a survey.
Residents of the Green Bay Area Public School District will receive a postcard that includes a unique code for completing the survey. If another member of the household wishes to complete the survey, they are asked to contact the District office at 920-448-2025 to receive another passcode.
The survey will help inform the strategic plan by allowing community members to share ideas to improve the school district and offer advice for the strategic planning team regarding potential long-term priorities and goals.
“Survey data will go to the Strategic Planning Committee, who will use that information to create the strategic plan,” said Lori Blakeslee, director of communications for the district. “Then they will present their recommendations to the board of education in May.”
The Strategic Planning Committee will determine priorities, goals, desired outcomes, and action steps for the strategic plan.
Survey responses are anonymous. The survey will close February 16, 2024. The estimated time required to complete the survey is 10 – 15 minutes.
A paper copy of the survey may be downloaded from the District’s website or picked up at the District office at 200 S. Broadway or at any school office. Completed paper surveys may be returned to the District or any school office.
