TOWN OF OCONTO FALLS, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A Cecil woman died after crashing into a semi-truck in Oconto County.
It happened around 8:18 a.m. Sunday on State Highway 32, near the intersection of County Highway CC in the town of Oconto Falls.
Officials say a passenger car, driven by a 76-year-old Cecil woman, was traveling west on County Highway CC when the car failed to stop at the intersection and was struck by a southbound semi-truck, driven by a 39-year-old Krakow man.
The semi-truck had overturned in the west ditch.
The driver of the car was taken to a hospital and later died from her injuries.
The driver of the semi-truck was taken to a hospital to be treated for his injuries.
The investigation is ongoing.
