Zachary A. Zastawniak (Oconto Co. Jail)
GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – A Peshtigo man pleaded not guilty Thursday to federal charges of sexual exploitation of a child and attempted sexual exploitation of a child.
Zachary Zastawniak, 23, is scheduled to go to trial April 1.
If convicted of either count, Zastawniak faces a minimum 15-year prison sentence, with a maximum of 30 years. He may also be fined up to $250,000 on each count.
Zastawniak had previously been charged in Oconto County with 26 counts, including three of second-degree sexual assault of a child, seeking a child for prostitution, and child enticement. He has pleaded not guilty, but no trial date has been set.
It wasn’t immediately clear Thursday if those charges would be dropped due to the federal prosecution.
