After having a 10 game winning streak snapped in the middle of a three game road trip, the Green Bay Phoenix women got back on track with a dominating 87-59 victory over IUPUI in Indianapolis Wednesday night. It was a big night for Jasmine Kondrakiewicz who put up a career high 21 points to go along with a career-best matching 12 rebounds. Maddy Schreiber pitched in with a double-double of her own with 13 points and 11 rebounds. The victory followed a two point loss at Oakland last weekend and keeps GB atop the Horizon League standings at 9-1, moving to 16-4 overall on the year. The Phoenix women return home to face Wright State on Sunday at the Kress Center.
Head Coach Kevin Borseth was named to the Kathy Delaney-Smith Mid-Major Coach of the Year watch list on Wednesday. In the latest College-Insider Mid-Major poll, Green Bay ranks 6th in the nation, trailing only top ranked Gonzaga, Princeton, Ball State, Florida Gulf Coast and Drake.
