MENASHA, WI (WTAQ) — Changes are coming to a Menasha food pantry.
St. Joeseph’s food pantry is embarking on their first ever capital campaign project; which will help renovate the current building.
“We’re renovating our front entrance as well as our donation entrance in the back,” said Heather Du Vall, Development Director for St. Joseph’s Food Pantry. “We will be creating a drive through model for our back entrance, which will allow donors to come through much more easily.”
The renovation will also create additional hydroponic units to increase produce production.
Du Vall says the renovations are needed to keep up with increasing demand; not just within the walls of the pantry but also their outreach services, as they distribute food out to organizations like Pillars, Harbor House, Loaves and Fishes, and other meal groups.
The goal of the capital campaign is to raise $1.95 million. Currently, 70% of that goal has been raised.
