(WTAQ-WLUK) — The Milwaukee Bucks have fired head coach Adrian Griffin, according to reports.
ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reports the Bucks are expected to name Joe Prunty interim coach.
Shams Charania of Stadium and The Athletic says Marquette graduate Doc Rivers, who has coached four NBA teams, has emerged as a serious candidate for the permanent position.
Griffin was in his first year with the Bucks. He was hired in June after the team fired Mike Budenholzer following a first-round playoff loss to the Miami Heat.
