The Green Bay Phoenix captured both the Horizon League Player of the Week and Freshman of the Week awards after posting a pair of victories last week. For the second time this season, Noah Reynolds earned the conference player of the week award after he averaged 25.5 points and 5.5 assists in the wins against IUPUI and Cleveland State. David Douglas Jr. poured in a career high 26 against IUPUI to earn his second freshman of the week award. Green Bay is 11-8 under first year Head Coach Sundance Wicks and even more impressively share the Horizon League lead with Oakland at 6-2 in conference play. The Phoenix was picked to finish last in the Horizon’s pre-season poll. Green Bay will hit the road later this week taking on Wright State in Dayton Thursday night.
