OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – A pedestrian is dead after a hit-and-run in Oshkosh Wednesday night.
Just after 6:35 p.m., the Oshkosh Police Department responded to a crash involving a vehicle traveling southbound on Ohio Street approaching 3rd Avenue. Officials say the vehicle struck a pedestrian and fled the scene.
The 38-year-old male pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. Officers located the vehicle involved in the accident a short time later and arrested the driver.
OPD’s Accident Investigation Team is continuing to investigate the crash.
