(WTAQ-WLUK) — One day after host Pat McAfee announced Aaron Rodgers Tuesdays were finished for the year, Rodgers was back on McAfee’s show.
Rodgers discussed the end of Bill Belichick’s tenure as New England Patriots head coach and the retirement of Alabama head coach Nick Saban.
The appearance did not generate the same controversy that some of Rodgers’ recent appearances on the show did.
Earlier this month, talk show host Jimmy Kimmel took to social media to fire back at Rodgers after Rodgers mentioned Kimmel’s name in connection with the release of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein’s client list. On Tuesday, Rodgers said he was not accusing Kimmel of pedophilia.
On the show Wednesday, McAfee said Aaron Rodgers Tuesdays season four was “done.”
“There’s going to be a lot of people that are happy with that — myself included, to be honest with you. The way it ended, it got real loud,” McAfee said on his show Wednesday.
“I’m happy that that is not going to be my mentions going forward, which is great news.”
Wednesday night, McAfee clarified that he was only referring to the regularly scheduled segments with Rodgers.
“He’ll make random surprise welcomed pop ins during big events or offseason adventures but, it’s always been a season thing,” McAfee wrote on social media. “I never said he’ll never be on the show again. I hope he chooses to still chat with us.”
McAfee signed a multi-year contract to air his show on ESPN last year.
