GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A Green Bay school put a unique twist on a popular singing gameshow.
On Wednesday, Chappell Elementary held a school assembly called The Masked Reader, the school’s take on the show, The Masked Singer.
Four staff members read books to the students in costumes and the students got to guess who is under the mask.
Principal Kris Worden says it was something fun for the kids to do, while promoting literacy.
“Kids remember special moments in school and we want to highlight the community that our school has developed and also a love of literacy that we have these people that are reading and just instill some fun, coming back from the holidays, January and February are great learning months for us and we just want to highlight and come together as a school community,” Worden said.
