OCONTO, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — First responders were dispatched to a home in the city of Oconto Friday for a report of a garage fire.
Officials say just before 10:15 a.m., the Oconto Fire and Rescue Department was called to the 100 block of Merrill Lane for an attached garage fire with flames visible.
All occupants had evacuated when emergency personnel arrived on scene. Crews found a two-story residential home with smoke coming from the eaves of the garage.
Fire crews deployed a hand line and made entry into the garage to extinguish any hot spots. A second crew entered the house to check for extension, nothing was found. A fan was used to clear the structure of smoke.
No injuries to residents or firefighters were reported. An investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing.
