CHARLOTTE, NC (WTAQ) – The Green Bay Packers stay alive in the race for a spot in the NFL playoffs…but not without some very anxious moments.
The important statistic is the final score as the Green & Gold survive a furious comeback try by the lowly Carolina Panthers and take a 33-30 win out of Bank of America Stadium. The Panthers had already score two late touchdowns to get it close, but ran out of time before getting off a field goal try that could have sent the game into overtime.
With the game tied at 30, Anders Karlson booted a 32 yard field goal with 19 seconds left to give the Packers the winning points. Jordan Love with two touchdown passes.
Green Bay improves to 7 & 8 on the season. They travel to Minnesota for a New Year’s Eve game next Sunday night.
