MANTIWOOC, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Two teens were taken into custody after shots were fired at a Manitowoc apartment building with residents inside.
Shortly before 8 p.m. Sunday, officers responded to an apartment complex in the 1700 lock of Meadowbrook Drive for a report of shots fired at an unoccupied vehicle.
When officers arrived, they learned residents had bullets go into their apartments. No one inside the apartment building was hurt.
The suspects were identified as a 17-year-old boy and a 16-year-old boy, both from Two Rivers. The teens surrendered to officers in the 1100 block of Memorial Drive. The gun was recovered at that time and determined to be stolen.
The 17-year-old was held at the Manitowoc County Jail and due to his age, the 16-year-old was held at the Sheboygan County Juvenile Detention Center.
The investigation is ongoing.
