GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) — The Green Bay Police Department is searching for the suspect(s) involved in a shooting on the city’s west side, which is believed to have occurred near the 1600 block of Christiana Street.
The incident injured a 20-year-old Green Bay man, who reportedly caused a head-on crash while driving himself to a hospital.
On Monday around 2:30 p.m., officers were dispatched to a two-vehicle crash near the intersection of Badger Street and Badger Lane. On scene, it was discovered that a male driver with a gunshot wound crashed into a SUV driven by a 32-year-old Green Bay woman, and then fled on foot to get himself help. Rescue was called for the female driver, who reported minor injuries.
The male has been treated for serious injuries and remains hospitalized at this time.
Police say this appears to be an isolated incident, and do not believe that the public is in any danger.
The investigation is ongoing.
