(WNFL) – The Wisconsin Badgers football team scored first but that was it offensively as Northwestern University scored the next 24 points in a 24-10 win for the Wildcats over the Badgers at Camp Randall Stadium in Madison on Saturday.
After Nathaniel Vakos’ 33-yard field goal in the first quarter, Northwestern marched right down the field on its first possession with AJ Henning scoring on a 23-yard pass from Ben Bryant.
Bryant made it 14-3 with a 1-yard run in the second quarter followed by a 24-yard touchdown pass to Cam Johnson and a Jack Olsen 28-yard field goal for a 24-3 halftime lead.
Jackson Acker scored on a 3-yard run for Wisconsin with 11 seconds left in the game.
Cade Yacamelli led Wisconsin with 47 yards rushing on 9 carries. Tanner Mordecai completed 31-of-45 passes for 245 yards. Will Pauling caught 10 passes for 96 yards.
Northwestern was led by Cam Porter with 72 yards rushing on 18 carries. Bryant completed 18-0f-26 passes for 195. Johnson had 6 receptions for 57 yards.
