MENOMINEE, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Menominee tribal authorities are investigating after human remains were found.
The remains were discovered in a forest on the reservation by a hunter on Monday. The exact location was not released.
Menominee County medical examiner Patrick Roberts said the remains appeared to have been at the location for five to 10 years.
The identity of the person and the cause of death are unknown at this time.
Officials say the community is not at risk.
