OMRO, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – One person died and two others were injured in a three-vehicle crash in the town of Omro in Winnebago County on Thursday.
Just after 2:30 p.m., nearly half a dozen agencies responded to State Highway 21 near Sand Pit Road after reports of a multi-car accident.
Upon arrival, responders found one of the three vehicles fully engulfed in flames and determined the driver of the burning vehicle was deceased. The individual’s name has not yet been released.
The drivers of the two other vehicles involved in the crash were taken to nearby hospitals with non-life-threating injuries.
An investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
