APPLETON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — There is plenty to explore this fall at the Building for Kids Children’s Museum in Appleton.
The Building for Kids Children’s Museum is welcoming its first new permanent exhibit in five years, one that will allow kids to explore the food system.
The new exhibit called “Food to Grow” gives kids and their grown-ups a chance to learn about the farm-to-table food system and delve into concepts including food sourcing, food choice, food equity and the cultural significance of food.
“Families can truly see all the different ways that others get food in our community,” said Casie Holdcroft, Marketing Manager at the museum. “So maybe it’s the farm, we also have a food pantry, and we also have a farm market in the exhibit. So you can see all the different ways to source food.”
