GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Joseph Vandertie was convicted Tuesday in connection with a Howard shooting. Sentencing is scheduled for March 8.
Vandertie, 37, pleaded no contest for first-degree reckless injury for the July 23 incident. Charges of attempted homicide and battery were dismissed as part of the plea deal, court records show.
Once deputies arrived on Alta Street scene, they found a female victim had been shot and the suspected shooter ran away from the scene. While on scene, authorities were able to confirm the identity and description of the suspected shooter and began a search. A short time later, officials located and arrested Vandertie without incident, less than a mile from the residence.
