FREEDOM, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — One person died and another was injured in a three-vehicle crash in Outagamie County.
It happened after 5:30 a.m. Thursday at the intersection of County Highway EE and County Highway S in the town of Freedom.
Officials say a vehicle driving northbound on County Highway EE failed to yield to traffic on County Highway S. After pulling out onto County Highway S, the vehicle was struck by an eastbound semi-truck.
Both vehicles then collided with a westbound pickup truck.
The driver of the northbound vehicle died at the scene.
The driver of the semi-truck was not injured.
The driver of the westbound pickup truck was taken to a local hospital by ambulance for non-life threatening injuries.
The intersection will remain closed for several more hours while the crash in being investigated.
