OUTAGAMIE COUNTY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Outagamie County health officials say they are seeing a rise in COVID-19 cases.
Since Sept. 1, the daily average of reported positive COVID-19 cases has tripled in the county.
This week, more than 20% of reported COVID-19 test results have been positive. It is important to note this is a small sample of the potential positive cases in the community as at-home tests are available and you do not need to report the results of an at-home test.
The Wisconsin Department of Health Services encourages everyone 6 months of age and older to stay up to date on their vaccines.
Just like vaccines for the flu and RSV, COVID-19 vaccines are updated to provide protection for the latest strains.
Talk to your healthcare provider or pharmacy to learn more about the vaccines and to schedule your appointment. You can also check vaccines.gov to find locations near you.
Starting Monday, September 25, you can go to Covidtests.gov and order free at-home COVID rapid tests.
