OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — UW-Oshkosh sports fans are loving the return of alcohol to home games.
A brand-new beer garden made its debut Saturday at J.J. Keller Field at Titan Stadium.
There will also be a beer garden at the Kolf Sports Center for basketball games.
After basketball season, school officials will evaluate to see if the beer garden can be offered at other sporting events.
Fox River Brewing Company is offering two beverages — including the official beer of the UW Oshkosh Titans, the “Titan Gold hand-crafted ale,” sold exclusively at home games.
Lots of fans say they plan to take advantage of the offering when they turn 21.
“Oh yeah, I think it’ll be great, you know we’re from Wisconsin, I feel like beer just brings people together at the end of the day,” said Carter Philips.
“I will definitely be here supporting my local Titans and we’ll be drinking with them,” said Austin Fuchs.
“It’s just Titans you know, great atmosphere, it’ll be amazing,” said Mason Werner.
All alcohol purchased at the beer gardens must be consumed there.
