ASHWAUBENON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Next week, an Ashwaubenon committee will be taking up plans to bring a new hotel just a few blocks south of Lambeau Field.
A five-story Cambria Hotel and Suites is planned near the corner of Oneida Street and Element Way.
It would include 100 guest rooms, a first-floor restaurant, and a rooftop deck with full views of the stadium.
Two other commercial buildings are proposed for the south end of the site.
Aaron Schuette, Ashwaubenon’s development director, says there is a need for hotels in the area.
“We’re becoming a pretty big entertainment hub. It’s more than just the Packers now. You look at the Resch Center, Resch Expo, Epic Event Center, and that’s just right here in the village. You have a lot of room nights being generated just from those events.”
The goal is to start construction as soon as possible on the hotel and have it ready for when the NFL Draft is here in 2025.
