CHILTON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Chilton High School athletes are set up for success in the fall 2023 school year with a brand new athletics complex.
Chilton Public Schools selected Hoffman in 2021 to perform a facility study and provide pre-referendum services.
Hoffman began design of the various projects and now serves as the construction manager. The athletic complex broke ground in April.
Zac Halbach, a senior and team captain on the Chilton High School football team, scored the very first points on the new field last week.
“We started a new tradition where we’re writing a brick down for offensive and defensive player of the year and it meant a lot to get that offensive player of the year for scoring those first points so that’ll be here forever and I’m proud of that,” said Halbach.
District officials, students, community members, and representatives from Hoffman Planning, Design & Construction, Inc. have worked in collaboration to complete phase one of the $19.3 million project.
In addition to the athletic complex, phase one completions include new HVAC controls in all three schools, new driveways and parking areas for the elementary and middle schools, and a re-finished floor in the middle school gym.
