APPLETON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — The Appleton Police Department is looking to residents to help in its investigation into a shooting at a park.
Police sent a letter to Erb Park neighbors Tuesday following Monday’s shooting.
A person was shot and injured at the park and another person was taken into custody.
Investigators are still trying to piece together what led to the shooting.
In the letter, police ask residents to check their yards for anything that may seem out of place.
“If you locate any items in your yard, specifically clothing, do not disturb the items and notify the Appleton Police Department immediately. These items may aid in the investigation pertaining to the incident on 07/31/2023,” the letter reads.
