GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Green Bay Packers shareholders were the first to get a look at Lambeau Field’s new video boards.
The boards were turned on for Monday’s shareholders meeting at the stadium. Packers officials told shareholders the new boards doubled the width of the previous boards, upgraded to 4K video and feature new audio speakers and amps. The equipment room for the video boards was also updated.
The new video boards are part of a stadium renovation project funded by the team’s most recent stock sale. It includes new scoreboards on the east and west sides of the stadium as well as concourse improvements meant to enhance the fan experience and speed up concessions.
Just before the meeting, the Packers organization announced another business move. It has acquired Milwaukee-based Foamation, the manufacturer of cheesehead hats.
The meeting comes less than a week after the Packers organization announced it had a $68.6 million operating profit during the 2023 fiscal year.
