GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – The Green Bay Metro Fire Department responded quickly to an attic fire at 1143 S Norwood Ave in Green Bay just before 7:50 a.m. Saturday, July 15th.
The residents of the home did not sustain any injuries, but the house endured an estimated $85,000 worth of damage, reports say.
The Green Bay Metro Fire Department were dispatched for a house fire with smoke showing from the roof.
The residents were able to evacuate the building prior to the fire departments arrival, authorities say.
Crews were able to extinguish the fire in approximately 15 minutes and prevented it from advancing to the main structure of the home.
Two cats were also saved from the fire and returned to their owners.
The fire was caused by an electrical failure in the attic.
