APPLETON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – A home is considered a total loss, estimated to be $900,000 after a fire on Saturday morning.
The Appleton Fire Department reports it was called to the home on the 2200 block of East Downs Ridge at 10:33 a.m.
The first crew on scene found heavy fire in the attic with smoke at the back of the home. All crews were pulled from the interior with a roof collapse anticipated.
Officials say the fire was brought under control within two hours.
A cause for the fire hasn’t been determined and an investigation is underway.
