FOND DU LAC, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – A 7-year-old boy is now in the hospital with life-threatening injuries after being hit by a vehicle while crossing the street.
It happened around 6:20 p.m. on Friday on the 500 block of E. Pioneer Road.
The investigation is still in its early stages. But initial information indicates that the child was attempting to cross E. Pioneer Road when he was struck by a vehicle.
A 53 year-old Fond du Lac resident was operating the vehicle. The driver suffered no injuries.
No further information has been released at this time.
The Wisconsin State Patrol assisted FDLPD by conducting an accident reconstruction at the scene. The Fond du Lac Police Department was also assisted by the City of Fond du Lac Fire/Rescue and Fond du lac County Sherriff’s Office.
