HOWARD, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A fire at a storage unit building in Howard caused about $1 million worth of damage.
Multiple fire departments responded to a reported structure fire at Velp Ave. Storage LLC. on Velp Avenue around 7:45 a.m. Monday.
The structure was a multi-unit personal storage building with nine overhead doors.
The fire was brought under control within an hour.
Thanks to the collective efforts of multiple fire departments, the fire damage was stopped about halfway through the building.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
One person who was on scene upon arrival sustained a minor injury and was taken to a local hospital.
