GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) — As Lambeau Field gets ready to host the NFL Draft in 2025; other businesses and organizations are getting ready for the accompanying large crowds.
Green Bay’s Austin Straubel International Airport is the official airport of the Green Bay Packers; and the closest airport to the 2025 Draft action. Airport director, Mary Piette, says the facility is perfectly suited to handle the increased amount of people and airplanes coming to the airport. Security-wise; they’re ready too.
“Airport security won’t change. We will operate the same from the security standpoint that we always do,” said Piette. “I wouldn’t be surprised if within the community we see more of the state patrol helping out.”
Tickets for flights into Green Bay for the 2025 NFL draft will likely start becoming available about six months before the event.
The airport will be working out some special events that coordinate with the draft to enhance the passenger experience; and give NFL fans a warm welcome to Green Bay.
