GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — The city of Green Bay is honoring a fallen Milwaukee police officer on the day of his funeral.
On Monday, Officer Peter Jerving, 37, will be laid to rest in Brookfield.
Officer Jerving was killed in the line of duty last week while trying to arrest a robbery suspect.
To honor his life and service, the lights on Green Bay’s downtown bridges will be lit blue Monday.
Flags across Wisconsin will also be flown at half-staff Monday.
