Giannis Antetokounmpo poured in a career high 55 points in leading the Milwaukee Bucks to a 123-113 victory over the Washington Wizards at Fiserv Forum Tuesday night. The two-time NBA MVP has been on a tear of late, even battling sore knees which kept him out of Sunday’s loss to the Wizards. There was no slowing him down at home as he topped the 40 point mark for the third straight game. Antetokounmpo hit 20 of 33 shots from the floor and was a very un-Giannis-like 15 of 16 from the free throw line. He continually drove to the hoop or got into position for short jump shots. He missed all three of his three point attempts but managed to pull down 10 rebounds and dish out 7 assists. Brook Lopez put up 21 points with 12 rebounds and Bobby Portis made it three double-doubles for the Bucks with 17 points and 13 boards. After also sitting out the last game against Washington, Jrue Holiday returned to the floor but Khris Middleton remains sidelined. The Bucks improved to 24-13 on the year, good for third place in the East but only a game and a half behind Boston and a half game of red hot Brooklyn for second. Milwaukee gets right back to it Wednesday night taking on the Raptors in Toronto. Pre-game coverage begins at 6:00 PM with a 6:30 PM tip on WNFL.
