GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) — Progress has been made towards deciding who will take over the position of Green Bay Metro Fire Chief.
Earlier this month, two finalists were named for the position. Those individuals were Robert Goplin of the Green Bay Metro Fire Department, and
Matthew Knott from the Rockford Illinois Fire Department.
“We’ve conducted second interviews with both candidates,” said Police & Fire Commission President, Rod Goldhahn. “Right now, we’re in the process of completing background investigations on them.”
Goldhahn said that topics discussed by both candidates in their second interview included their education, experiences, their roles in their current departments, and their accomplishments.
A decision is expected to be made by the end of this month or early December.
