Project Vote shares percentages of registered voters who voted in each Brown County municipality.
BROWN COUNTY, WI (WTAQ) — Project Vote is a nonpartisan volunteer organization in Brown County that is dedicated to increasing informed voter turnout.
“We do candidate forums, and in each major election, spring and fall, we do this voter challenge” said Project Vote member, Scott Stein.
The voter challenge motivates Brown County municipalities to see who can get the highest voter turnout percentages among registered voters.
The green division is composed of municipalities with a population less than 10 thousand. The Town of Humboldt won in this division; with 83.1% of registered voters showing up at the polls. This is the first time Humboldt has won the award.
The gold division is made up of municipalities with populations larger than 10 thousand. The Village of Allouez took the win; with 78% of registered voters making their voices heard. This is the fifth time Allouez has won the award.
The voter challenge is issued in every Brown County election to encourage voter participation.
