GRAND CHUTE, WI (WTAQ) — The Grand Chute Police Department has arrested a 17 year old after investigating thefts of vehicles ranging from November 4-12. In addition to the four stolen vehicles, police also investigated the theft of several guns and other property.
“We don’t live in a big metropolitan area where vehicle thefts are a daily occurrence.” said Investigative Lieutenant for the Grand Chute Police Department, Russ Blahnik. “Then in the span of a week we had four in a consolidated area in our jurisdiction. So it just kept feeling like these were all related.”
All four vehicles have since been recovered.
The 17 year old is being held in the Outagamie County Jail on charges including multiple counts of felony bail jumping, take and operate motor vehicle without owner’s consent, theft of firearms, theft, and concealing stolen property.
This investigation is still ongoing, and anyone with additional information is encouraged to contact the Grand Chute Police Department by calling (920) 832-1575.
