APPLETON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — The 10th annual Open Enrollment Period is now open; and Wisconsinites are able to get health insurance available on the federal marketplace by visiting HealthCare.gov.
Partnership Community Health Center in Appleton is works with individuals on their insurance options. Julia Garvey, a navigator with Partnership, says people will likely qualify for a lot of savings on health insurance premiums and out of pocket costs.
The average Wisconsinite who enrolled in a plan on HealthCare.gov saved $90 per month on their premiums.
Resident Anthony Carter was referred to Partnership Community Health Center by a friend. “It’s a lot of anxiety when you think about your health and you’re unsure of where it’s at,” said Carter. “It really did change my life.”
Last year saw the largest enrollment number since 2018.
Open Enrollment ends on Jan. 15. For coverage that starts Jan. 1, enroll by Dec. 15.
