APPLETON, WI (WTAQ) — In-person absentee voting has begun in municipalities across the state of Wisconsin.
Appleton City Clerk Kami Lynch says one things voters will notice at the polls this year is that things look a lot more normal, with most traces of the COVID-19 pandemic gone, and she expects it to be a popular option.
“We’ve received a lot of calls asking when it starts,” said Lynch. “To be honest, I thought it would be a little bit busier.”
She expects it to pick up as election day approaches.
“I am thinking it’s going to kind of mimic pre-2020 in-person absentee voting, where that will be more popular [than absentee voting by mail],” Lynch told WTAQ. “We are still sending out quite a few mailed absentee ballots.”
They’ve sent around 7,000 to interested voters in the city.
There are a number of things interested voters should remember.
