GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) — The Chicago Bears, fresh off an opening day win at home, are traveling to Lambeau Field this Sunday for a Sunday night football matchup with the Green Bay Packers, themselves reeling from a season opening road loss.
Travis Loftus with Green Bay’s TicketKing says those details matter, adding that Bears fans, excited about a 1-0 start, are now more likely to take the trip.
“There will be more Bears fans looking to buy tickets,” Loftus explained. “Whenever their team is doing well, they want to travel, and it’s a little less expensive at Lambeau field than at Soldier Field.”
For Green Bay fans too, the 0-1 start is an issue.
“On Monday things were a little slower,” said Loftus. “It always is after a loss.”
Loftus says ticket prices are expected to be lower than usual, especially for the typically red-hot divisional home matchup with the Packers storied rivals, because the game takes place on Sunday night.
“It keeps the prices down a little bit because it’s a little bit harder for people to take off the next day, and what not,” Loftus told WTAQ.
It’s expected to rain too, putting prices down even further.
