BROWN COUNTY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Highway 96 between Greenleaf and Denmark is set to fully close beginning Monday as part of the WIS 96 Project.
Highway 96 will be closed between County B in Shirley and Interstate-43 in Denmark as part of the $12.8 million project.
Work will include culvert replacements, pavement resurfacing and addressing a deteriorating bridge.
Highway 96 will then be closed to through traffic just east of County X as well starting Sept. 6 for bridge removal.

This is the second part of the 14.66-mile project. The first segment began Aug. 15 with the two-week closure of Highway 32 in Greenleaf and County B in Lark.
Construction is expected to finish next summer.
