As for the Brewers, they’re coming home with a record of 65-58 and despite getting help on Wednesday with the Cubs beating the Cardinals 7-1 and Cleveland beating San Diego 7-0, Milwaukee remains 5 and a half games behind St. Louis in the division race and a game and a half behind the Padres for the final wild card spot. After a day off Thursday, the Brewers welcome the Cubs to American Family Field for the weekend and that begins a stretch of 18 straight games against teams that are below .500. If the turnaround doesn’t happen in the next couple of weeks, fans might start making plans for next year.
Speaking of 2023, the Major League Baseball schedule has been finalized. For the first time ever, the Brewers will play games against every team in baseball next year. The season will begin at Wrigley Field against the Cubs on March 30 with the 2023 home opener against the New York Mets set for April 3.
