OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Oshkosh police are investigating a robbery after a man entered multiple businesses Friday afternoon, demanding money.
The 28-year-old man claimed to have a weapon and allegedly received cash from one of the businesses before running away. He robbed the area business in the 2000 block of Witzel Avenue around 2 p.m., according to police.
The Oshkosh Police Department says the suspect tried to steal a vehicle as well, threatening to use force in the process.
Officers say they found the suspect about 20 minutes later and took him into custody.
The suspect has been identified, but police say this appears to be an isolated incident and that the public is not in danger. The department is not looking for other suspects.
