APPLETON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Officials are moving forward in a large drug trafficking investigation, as they arrested several people Wednesday after discovering approximately 16 pounds of illegal drugs.
The Appleton Police Department joined by four other local departments served six search warrants Wednesday in Appleton and Grand Chute.
The warrants were part of a larger investigation involving illegal drug trafficking in the Fox Valley, according to the Lake Winnebago Area Metropolitan Enforcement Group.
Officials discovered approximately 16 pounds of methamphetamine and cocaine. Along with the drugs, officials seized nine guns, three vehicles and an undisclosed amount of money.
The drugs are estimated to value up to $200,000.
No one has been charged as of Thursday. The investigation is still ongoing.
